Everyone has something worthwhile to say.
Not worthwhile for themselves, perhaps. It could be that what they have to say is simply valuable to those who would choose not to interact with them based on it. Or it could do the opposite, and everyone who hears will tell everyone they know to come running and listen to everything the speaker has to say.
So, given that having something worthwhile to say isn’t special, is it surprising that lots of people don’t care what you have to say in the first place? There’s over 7 billion people on the planet, and no one can listen to all of them. Many people have decided that they already found the people they want to run toward and listen to. Or, they may have heard and decided they didn’t want to interact with you.
You have to say your something worthwhile to people willing to listen. People who haven’t already decided who they are going to listen to. People who hopefully will be eager to come running with their friends.
In a perfect world, your something worthwhile influences their something worthwhile. Because then they will say their something worthwhile to their willing listeners, amplifying your something worthwhile more than you could ever hope to on your own.
